It's back to school time! Let's kick off our first Owls Dine Out event of the new school year with a summer treat at Cary Dairy! 15% of sales on Aug 25 from 12-10pm will go back to the Oak Knoll ECC PTO when Oak Knoll is mentioned. It's that time of year - apple picking, pumpkin patches, and family fun! Join us on Saturday October 25 between 10 AM - 6 PM at All Seasons Orchard in Woodstock. The PTO is a non-profit organization that relies on fundraisers such as this to support our school events. Let's raise some dough! 

If you placed any orders for the Wooden Spoon Cookie Dough and Butter Braid fundraiser, they will be available for pickup at Oak Knoll on Nov 21 between 12:15-1:45pm.  *This is an early dismissal day for some students and some students do not have school at all on this day* Please make sure you have enough freezer space for your orders and we will be unable to store in freezer overnight.

Oak Knoll’s next Family Fun Night of the year will be at The Pieceful Project in downtown Cary on Wednesday, December 17 from 12 - 7 PM. Stop in to get some holiday shopping done while your kids enjoy a LEGO build in store. Each LEGO build kit cost $5, and $2.50 of that cost will be donated back to the PTO! In addition, 5% of what you purchase will be donated back to support the PTO. If you are interested in the LEGO build, be sure to scan the QR code on the flyer to sign-up.

The all popular Owls Dine Out event at Culver's (Fox River Grove location) is coming up with a 2-day event on February 25-26, 2026 from 4-8 pm both nights! Teachers and staff from Oak Knoll will be on-site at Culver's bringing the food out to tables to say hello to the students and families! 15% of all sales will go back to the PTO!

Make sure to inform Culver's of the teacher's name/classroom at the event while ordering for a "Battle of the Classrooms" competition! The classroom with the highest attendance will receive free custard from Culver's for an in-class ice cream party!

The Oak Knoll PTO is partnering with local Kids in Need (KIN) McHenry County with the Kids Helping Kids Program for a personal care drive to give back to our community. 

The personal care products that they are asking be donated are:

Baby wash, Baby lotion, Teen face Wash, Hair detangler, Mielle hair products (shampoo, conditioner, creams, etc.), and Kids 3 in 1 (shampoo, condition, and body wash).  Please see flyer in image above.

All personal care items will be collected at Oak Knoll April 1-15 and donated to Kids in Need (KIN) of McHenry County. You can click on their website link above or scan the QR code in the image to find out other ways to help, donate, or volunteer. #giveback

After students make their Wish Lists (the classroom schedule can be found in the signup genius link below), the lists will come home in backpacks.  At that time, adults will be able to select which books students may purchase and decide to send in money for students to purchase. 

Cash and checks are accepted, but the preferred method is an e-wallet - see above link how to create an e-wallet. If you decide to write a check, we recommend leaving it blank to ensure the correct tax amount is considered, but you can write your budget on the Wish List to ensure we don't go over a certain dollar amount. Students may then shop during the school day with adult volunteer assistance.

If you wish to shop during the school day or at Open House with your student (located in the Oak Knoll gym), the following shopping days are also available for your convenience.

The PTO will have a sucker tree where students can pick a dum-dum sucker (if the bottom of the sucker has a colored dot on the bottom of the stick, the student will win a prize)! Otherwise, they get to keep the sucker (win-win)!

Nothing But Bundt Cakes will also be on-site selling mini bundtlets, which will be a fundraiser back to the PTO.
