School Engagement events

The PTO partners with the school administration to support school engagement events like Meet the Teacher, Popsicles on the Playground, School Supply Kit sales and delivery, Fall Festival, creation of the School Directory, Kindergarten Information Night, Open House, Field Trip sponsorships, birthday books for students, special guest assemblies at school (concerts, science, etc.), ABC Countdown to end of school, and provides popsicles for Field Day.

Staff Appreciation activities

We support the Oak Knoll staff throughout the school year by providing First Year Teacher grants, cash reimbursement for teacher expenses, catered lunch/dinner at various times, stock the lounge requests, Staffs Favorite Things list distribution, gifts for all the appreciation days (custodian, bus driver, principal, teacher/all staff, etc.), book purchases from Book Fair for staff based on their wish lists, and Years of Service Recognition cards for staff.

Fundraisers

All of the above events and activities are paid for by fundraisers or donations. The Oak Knoll ECC PTO is a non-profit organization.  Various fundraisers are planned through the year and none of the above could happen without the support of our Oak Knoll ECC families.  Fundraisers include but are not limited to: Walkathon, Owls Dine Out, Oak Knoll spirit wear sales, Family Fun Nights, Cookie Dough sales, Scholastic Book Fair, and Box Tops for Education.  The PTO also considers minor building and playground improvements in their annual budget and will be planning longer term improvement playground projects, as this is not covered by the school's budget.
